EU/ArianeGroup SALTO Themis Project Breakdown

SALTO at its most basic is aimed at flying, recovering, and reflying a reusable first stage rocket demonstrator. However, more than that, the project will develop key technology that will enable Europe to increase its access to space by as much as 50%. SALTO will, as a result, act as a “stepping stone” towards the reuse of strategic launchers in Europe, a key element of ensuring Europe’s continued sovereign access to space.
